Our projects span research, education, and cultural outreach
Together these collaborations give our members access to world-class academic databases, regional language programmes, and a broader network of scholars and institutions dedicated to the study of China.
The Confucius Institute (CI) at St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo is a cultural and educational center founded in 2012. It promotes Chinese language teaching, cultural exchange, and academic cooperation between Bulgaria and China.
The World Sinology Center at the Beijing Language and Culture University, launched in the West Coast New Area of Qingdao, Shandong Province, is expected to become a new international hub of China studies.
We organize reading groups, public talks, and open community events to bring sinological research beyond the academy. Our outreach initiatives promote nuanced, evidence-based dialogue on Chinese history, culture, and society for diverse audiences across Bulgaria and beyond.
